Physical Therapy Director directs and coordinates the policies, objectives, initiatives, and programs for the delivery of physical therapy programs to patients. Evaluates current physical therapy programs and investigates potential new or revised therapy programs to improve the quality of patient care. Being a Physical Therapy Director oversees budgeting, staffing, and the development and implementation of new physical therapy programs. Ensures the physical therapy division follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. Additionally, Physical Therapy Director typically requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Physical Therapy Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a Physical Therapy Director typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.     This post includes the following functions:


    • Manage the flow of modalities, exercises and training under the direct supervision of the clinical staff. 
    • Maintain upkeep of the facility including equipment, inventory, cleanliness, and laundry. 
    • Participation in staff meetings, team meetings and community outreach.
    • Asking patients who are doing well to refer their friends and family in any given opportunity.
    • Assistance with  Clinical promotion
    • Keeping records of all the above functions to document accountability for all production.
    • Completion of any and all tasks and functions that are asked to be performed to assist in the day to day operations of the company.


    Skills Needed:


    The ideal candidate must have a high level of understanding of exercise prescription and progression.  Personal Training Certification is recommended. Must have no criminal record.  Must have a high communication level, great control and really enjoy working with others.  Must be willing to work with other areas of the organization on the prediction of schedules, clinical maintenance, and our internship program development and scheduling.  Must keep great relations with our public, in person and or over the phone or via mail.
