Upbeat outpatient physical therapy clinic with location in Ft Walton Bch in need of a Front Office Assistant.
Hours: Full-Time Monday - Thursday 7:30am to 5pm, Fridays 7:30am - 11:30am
To assist office manager & physical therapy staff in providing the service necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the reception, billing and clinic areas.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
-Receives and assists patients and their caregivers, assuring their needs are met or are referred to the appropriate resources. Also, assists in screening and problem solving customer service issues that present to the clinic.
-Works independently in preparing, proofing and distributing a variety of material for professional staff.
-Assists in coordinating, attending and participation in staff meetings
-Assists office manager in organizing, evaluating and recommending changes in daily front desk operation.
-Assists in employment verification and maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines in the hiring/employment/termination of staff.
-Registers, enters information, schedules and files insurance claims via the EMR software system on all patients who are referred to the practice.
-Provides clerical support to all areas in the front office. Monitors and assures accuracy and timeliness of record maintenance.
-Effectively communicates with staff, therapists and public. Demonstrates tact and diplomacy in communications. Assures patient confidentially with the appropriate release of medical records information.
-Monitors facility appearance, requests for maintenance services and supplies ordering/inventory, upkeep of clinic’s appearance.
-Assists Therapist in indirect patient care tasks as needed.
-Able to occasionally travel to other clinics to provide front office coverage, as needed
