Muller & Weber Physical Therapy has an immediate need for a physical therapy aide to join the team at our facility located near Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. This position is responsible for assisting the physical therapists in the treatment of patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions and maintaining the corresponding documentation and medical records.
Therapy aides work under the direct supervision of a therapist in the clinic, assisting with exercises, utilizing medical equipment for physical modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound procedures, ensuring a safe, friendly, and clean environment at all times. Aides will also perform general clerical and cleaning tasks. Must have excellent communication & multi-tasking skills, a strong work ethic, and reliable transportation.
No prior experience is necessary; however, candidates need a basic understanding of human anatomy and/or exercise science. This is a great opportunity and learning environment for someone with an interest in pursuing a degree in physical therapy, recreational therapy, or nursing/medicine. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Therapy schedule varies - Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm.
