Physical Therapy Supervisor supervises the staff of the physical therapy division and/or clinic. Assesses physical therapy programs to evaluate the quality of patient care. Being a Physical Therapy Supervisor provides guidance to and monitors the performance of physical therapy staff. Ensures physical therapy staff follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. Additionally, Physical Therapy Supervisor may perform training demonstrations for physical therapists and assistants. May maintain a small caseload of patients. Requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Requires Certified Physical Therapist (CPT). Requires Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT). Typically reports to a manager. The Physical Therapy Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Physical Therapy Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. What is PTA: Someone who completed at least 5 semesters in an accredited physical therapy assistant program. Someone who is licensed or is eligible to obtain FL State licensure as a physical therapy assistant. Experience in a medical facility does not make one a PTA. We currently have 5 clinics throughout NY and NJ and FL We specialize in outpatient orthopedics but also see neuro and pediatric cases. We are open 6 days and accept all health insurances. Our goal is to serve the community without depending on medical doctor referrals, but on our reputation.
Looking for a responsible PTA with excellent manual skills, who wants to join a a growing outpatient practice in North Miami Florida(established in 2021). Practice utilizes an integrated approach combining Physical Therapy, Massage, Chiropractic, and Acupuncture Services. Each patient gets 15 minutes of therapeutic massage so massage skills are needed. This is a part time position. We prefer a PTA with a PT degree, but it is not essential. Benefits such as vacation/personal days/401k are negotiable.
