Physical Therapy Supervisor supervises the staff of the physical therapy division and/or clinic. Assesses physical therapy programs to evaluate the quality of patient care. Being a Physical Therapy Supervisor provides guidance to and monitors the performance of physical therapy staff. Ensures physical therapy staff follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. Additionally, Physical Therapy Supervisor may perform training demonstrations for physical therapists and assistants. May maintain a small caseload of patients. Requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Requires Certified Physical Therapist (CPT). Requires Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT). Typically reports to a manager. The Physical Therapy Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Physical Therapy Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Job Summary

    Functions under the general supervision of the Clinic Director, and under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical team. The Physical Therapy Aide is responsible for preparing treatment areas, cleaning treatment areas, aiding in ordering supplies, setting up the exercise equipment, and monitoring and cueing patients throughout their exercise program. The Physical Therapy Aide may also be assigned routine clerical support tasks in support of the patient care experience. All functions are performed in accordance with facility, departmental, regulatory, and payor policies and procedures, and guidelines.

    Core Responsibilities
    • Assist with key activities including patient care to keep each clinic running smoothly and efficiently.
    • Greet each patient by name and interact in a professional, welcoming manner.
    • Provide and support direct patient care, under direct supervision, in accordance with established practice standards, state statutes and payor policies.
    • Safely set up and adjust exercise equipment for patients. Maintains safety throughout each patient session.
    • Instruct and monitor patient exercise performance, based on licensed clinician prescription, giving effective verbal and visual cues to the patient to ensure correct form, technique, and execution. Communicate feedback to treating clinician on patients performance.
    • Communicate any patient concerns to Clinic Director immediately.
    • Assist with setting up and delivery of therapeutic modalities including ESTIM, thermal agents, etc
    • Maintains the clinic and treatment areas in a clean and orderly condition following all cleaning and sanitation protocols. Ensures exercise equipment in clean and functional. Ensures laundry is done and put away.
    • Assists in ordering and stocking supplies.
    • Performs routine clerical support tasks, which may include checking patients in, collecting copays, answering the telephone, aiding in scheduling patients, etc.
    • Be dependable, show up to work as scheduled and on time. Communicate proactively and effectively with management for any planned or unplanned absences.
    • Be flexible, with the expectation to assist in other clinics within the geographic market based on business needs. Be flexible with scheduling during hours of operation.
    • Support Alliance’s mission, uphold Alliance’s core values, and execute company initiatives as directed by Operations leadership
