Physical Therapy Supervisor supervises the staff of the physical therapy division and/or clinic. Assesses physical therapy programs to evaluate the quality of patient care. Being a Physical Therapy Supervisor provides guidance to and monitors the performance of physical therapy staff. Ensures physical therapy staff follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. Additionally, Physical Therapy Supervisor may perform training demonstrations for physical therapists and assistants. May maintain a small caseload of patients. Requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Requires Certified Physical Therapist (CPT). Requires Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT). Typically reports to a manager. The Physical Therapy Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Overview
Under the direction of the administrative director and or clinical therapists, the physical therapy aide may perform any or all of the therapeutic procedures within the scope of their training in physical and occupational therapy. The aide prepares patients and equipment for therapy, assists the therapist in administering treatments, and performs tasks to maintain the clinic in an orderly condition.

Requirements
Not everyone can be a physical therapy aide. To be seriously considered for this role, the requirements are as follows:
· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred to have additional education and or training in a related medical field.
· Up to 6 months on the job training to become familiar with clinic/hospital equipment and regulations, technique, and department procedures.
· Ability to deal effectively with patients and coworkers.
· Ability to maintain paperwork, including assisting with insurance authorizations.
Responsibilities
As one of Sunnyside Physical & Sports Therapy's Physical Therapy Aides, you’ll meet the initiatives and strategic needs on your own through experience-learning, and develop as you work alongside others in your field. Along your journey to grow our brand’s audience, and your skills, you’ll be responsible for:
· Facilitate patients in active and passive exercises as outlined by the Therapist.
· Manage equipment such the use of cardio equipment, total gyms, dynamic exercise tool for use with therapy treatments.
· Support patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, canes, crutches and prosthetics and orthopedic devices.
· Reinforce home exercise instruction for patients.
· Assist with patient dressing, when necessary, and with patient transfers within the clinic/hospital for therapy care.
· Cultivate a clean work environment.
· Administer good communication skills to assist with patient care. Records and reports patients progress for review by other members of the medical team.
· Construct daily charges as part of documentation and utilize our CORE 4 of billing and coding.
· Support general front office duties such scheduling, answer phones, making copies etc.
· Direct and supervise activities of other assistants or volunteer workers.
· Strive in education and training opportunities for aides.
· Motivated to cover shifts at various facilities.
