Physician - Anesthesiology examines patient to determine type of anesthetic needed and communicates findings to appropriate medical practitioner. Administers local, intravenous, or spinal anesthetic, records type and amount of anesthesia, and determines condition of patient before, during, and after sedation. Being a Physician - Anesthesiology requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. Additionally, Physician - Anesthesiology may report to a medical director. Physician - Anesthesiology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     About The Practice
    Two community, teaching hospitals that work together as one mini-system within the larger UPMC system to collaboratively provide care to residents of Mercer and Lawrence counties in western PA. UPMC Jameson provides the higher acuity surgical services with 6 ORs, 2 Procedure Rooms and a 12-bed ICU as well as a full array of surgeons including orthopedics, urology, general, vascular, bariatrics, breast and robotics but excluding cardiothoracic, trauma, neurosurgery and OB/GYN.
