Physician Assistant - Medical assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Being a Physician Assistant - Medical orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests. Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, conducts patient education, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries. Additionally, Physician Assistant - Medical requires completion of the PANCE exam administered by National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Requires a master's degree of Health Sciences for Physician Assistants or related. Typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). Requires State license to practice.     Employment type:

    • Full time 

    What you’ll be working on:

    • Managing a patient panel with a broad array of patient needs; conducting a mix of acute, chronic, and well visits
    • Treating patients in-office or in testing centers as well as conducting occasional tele-health visits
    • Continuous learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and through other modalities
    • Ongoing collaboration with in-office teammates via daily huddles, as well as with virtual clinical teams
    • Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to perform in-office procedures 

    Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:

    • Completed an accredited FNP or PA program with a national certification 
    • In the past 5 years, practiced as an Advanced Practitioner for at least:
      • 2 years in an outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0 ), OR 1 year in an outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0 ), coupled with either a 1 year primary care fellowship or 1 year in an urgent care setting seeing patients of all ages (0 )
    • State licensed in Connecticut, obtained by your One Medical start date

    This is a full-time role based in Westport, CT.

    The base salary range for this role is $127,000 to $135,000 per year based on a full-time schedule. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience and patient care schedule.
