Physician Assistant - Medical jobs in Evansville, IN

Brescia University, a small Catholic Liberal Arts University located in Kentucky is searching for a medical director to help develop a new M.S. in PA Assistant Program and will collaborate with the program director in the development of the program’s mission, goals, policies, and competencies. The medical director is an active participant in the Physician Assistant Program and may take part in the development of the program’s academic objectives and assist in identifying and assessing supervised clinical practice experiences for the PA students.

This is a 12-month part-time position. Qualifications are:

• Graduate of a US-accredited medical school
• Current licensed Allopathic or Osteopathic physician
• Certified by an ABMS-or AOA- approved specialty board
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience; effective communication, time management and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to work with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Assist the program director in the ongoing development, evaluation, and improvement of the curriculum for physician assistant education,
• Be an active participant in the program and support the development of the program competencies to meet current practice standards as they relate to the PA role,
• collaborate with the program director to provide oversight and guidance to ensure that didactic and clinical instruction meets current practice standards,
• Participate in accreditation related activities, including evaluation of curriculum and administrative aspects of the program,
• Participate in scholarship and service activities as required to maintain licensure and board certification.
