Physician Assistant - Medical assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Being a Physician Assistant - Medical orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests. Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, conducts patient education, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries. Additionally, Physician Assistant - Medical requires completion of the PANCE exam administered by National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Requires a master's degree of Health Sciences for Physician Assistants or related. Typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). Requires State license to practice. This Physician Assistant performs direct patient care inthe clinic setting under the supervision of a physician.
The Physician Assistant position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include: Demonstrates knowledge of facility policy related to: emergency preparedness, fire, hazardous materials and waste, medical equipment, safety, security and utilities and understands role and expected level of participation. Utilizes standard precautions; complies with OSHA standards pursuant to blood borne pathogen, tuberculosis and hazardous material and waste; complies with infection control policies including isolation precautions and consistent hand hygiene. Reports safety risk issues; completes incident reports as appropriate.

- Graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant Program.
- NCCPA Certified.
- Licensed in the State of Nevada as a physician’s assistant.

- Current BLS certifications.
- Current liability coverage.
- Must complete 100 hours of CME every two (2) years and take the recertification exam every six (6) years.
