Physician Assistant - Surgical under the direction of physician, performs first assistant surgical duties, including tissue retraction and suturing. Completes pre-op tasks including physical examinations and recording health history. Being a Physician Assistant - Surgical orders appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests. Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, conducts patient education, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries Requires completion of the PANCE exam administered by National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Additionally, Physician Assistant - Surgical requires a master's degree of Health Sciences for Physician Assistants or related. Typically reports to a physician. Duties:
- Manage executive calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and other relevant materials
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence, redirecting inquiries as necessary
- Greet visitors and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk
- Assist with office management duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining office equipment
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files and documents
- Perform various administrative tasks including data entry, typing, and filing
- Assist with event planning and coordination as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a similar administrative role
- Proficient in calendar management, customer service, front desk operations, and office management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using phone systems and other office equipment
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of clerical procedures and protocols
- Experience in event planning is a plus
