Summary:

The primary function of the advanced practice provider (APP) in Surgical Alliance is to provide care to and management of general surgery patients, including perioperative surgical care, under the clinical supervision of the Surgical Alliance Attending Medical Staff. He/she will work collaboratively with the physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants (MAs), and front-desk staff to support the outpatient general surgery population within Surgical Alliance.

Minimum qualifications for APRN:

• MSN, Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree Program

• Current BLS Certification

• 2 years clinical experience, preferably in a surgical field

• Obtain and maintain privileges at Middlesex Health

Minimum qualifications for Physician Assistant:

• Physician Assistant certification

• Current BLS Certification

• 2 years clinical experience, preferably in a surgical field

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years clinical experience, preferably in a surgical field
