Podiatry practice in Richmond seeking part time medical assistant. Please see main details below:

• Pay is $20 per hour
• Total of 3 days per week (Every Mon/Weds and third day is flexed depending on schedule)
• Hours are Monday and Wednesday from 8 am - 5 pm and EITHER Tuesday OR Thursday depending on the week and schedule also from 8 am - 5 pm
• Occasional opportunities for extra hours on Fridays in Nursing facilities - offered but not required
• Interviews will be held via ZOOM - no in person interviews
• Start date Monday, May 6th
• No additional benefits, no PTO but can request unpaid days off as needed

Responsibilities for Medical Assistant

• Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
• Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
• Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
• Assist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies

Qualifications for Medical Assistant

• High school diploma or GED required
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times

Job Type: Part-time
