Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse under the guidance of the department Director, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care specific to the unit and the needs of the patient population. Your role will involve assisting with procedures like Transesophageal echocardiogram, cardioversion, tilt table testing, stress tests (pharmacological/non-pharmacological), and coordinating patient care. It is essential to maintain competency in delivering care to special patient populations and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. You should be able to follow instructions for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Additionally, you will identify and address safety concerns related to different age groups while creating a safe environment.
Educational Requirements:
BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Licenses:
CA RN License
Specialty Certification (required within one year of hire)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Experience:
3 years of experience in a specialty area, preferably procedure center/area and/or cardiology
Physical Demands:
Frequent: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Carrying up to 50 lbs., Repetitive Motions, Eye/Hand/Foot Coordination
Occasionally: Lifting up to 50 lbs., Pushing up to 75 lbs., Pulling up to 75 lbs., Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Reaching, Handling, Grasping, Feeling
