Golden State Dermatology's Pleasant Hill location is accepting applications for an internship style opportunity in the Medical Assistant role. This is an outstanding hands-on clinical experience for those pursuing a career as a nurse, physician assistant, physician.

The MA's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Rooming patients and taking vitals

• Record details of patient exams - clinical history, current complaints, diagnoses, procedures and medical orders

• Support the physician by documenting in real time during the patient visit

• Assist physician in procedures and surgeries

• Work closely with office staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care

• Preferred availability- Monday through Friday, open.

This role will also include front office duties that will be determined by the practice manager.

Our Center has an outstanding track record of multiple interns who have successfully gained admission to highly competitive PA, RN, and MD programs. We are looking for a motivated candidate that will be eager to gain hands on experience before furthering their education.

Requirements for this role:

• Undergraduate degree completed at an accredited university.
• Strong computer skills. Experience with modern practice management systems and electronic medical records.
• Basic understanding of medical terms and processes, including HIPAA regulations, insurance registration, etc
