Being a Physician - Dermatology performs a variety of laboratory procedures, examines sample tissues, and uses various biological and chemical analyses to identify harmful organisms or pathological conditions. Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology Practice seeking a medical receptionist. We are looking for a time efficient, computer and EMR proficient, positive, long-term employee to be a part of our team.
Our office is run with a team approach with everyone working towards the patient experience. We require excellent communication skills, a friendly attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be on time, responsible, and dependable.
This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to learn new computer software systems.
Responsibilities include:
•Answer calls promptly and retrieve messages
•Scheduling New and Follow-up Patient Appointments
•Check in patients as they arrive, verify and update demographic information
•Verify insurance and patient eligibility
•Post charges and co-payments in system, balance daily transactions
•Escort patients to exam rooms
•Assist patients with questions about medications and wound care.
•File charts; ensure all related reports, labs and information is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
•Take telephone messages; provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
•Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians
•Clean and restock examination rooms
Requirements:
•HS Diploma or equivalent
•Experience in the healthcare field is highly preferred; Dermatology & Billing knowledge a plus
•Strong computer skills
•Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask.
•Excellent interpersonal skills.
•Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
•Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
This is a full time position with approximately 30-38 hours per week.
