Physician - Dermatology examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the human skin. Prescribes and administers patient medications. Being a Physician - Dermatology performs a variety of laboratory procedures, examines sample tissues, and uses various biological and chemical analyses to identify harmful organisms or pathological conditions. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Additionally, Physician - Dermatology requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Dermatology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Dermatology office in West Ashley seeking a full time medical assistant.
Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00am-5:30pm and Friday 8:00am-1:30pm Must be able to arrive early and stay late as needed to complete end of day tasks and messages. Willing to travel to a Berkeley location as needed (typically 2x/month). Must be able to shadow prior to being hired.
Description: Seeking a Medical Assistant with a great attitude, able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment. Responsible for rooming patients; obtaining current medical history, taking vitals, and recording chief complaints (must be detail oriented). Helping health care provider during examinations to include: charting/diagramming, preparing laboratory specimens, and assisting with minor surgical procedures (biopsies, excisions, Mohs). Comfortable with bandaging and suture removal. Educating patients with post-op instructions and medications. Calling in prescriptions, messages, sterilizing instruments, stocking rooms. Notify patients of lab results and scheduling follow-up and surgical appointments as needed. Must be reliable. Not EMR.

Requirements:
Experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate
High school diploma required
2 years experience in a medical office preferred.
Must work well with others in a team environment.
Pay/Benefits:
Hourly position, competitive pay
Eligible for monthly bonuses after 90 day probationary period
