Physician - Family Practice examines and treats members of family, regardless of age or sex. Ensures proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Being a Physician - Family Practice prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary. Additionally, Physician - Family Practice requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Family Practice's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Greater Nebraska Medical and Surgical Services has an exciting opportunity for a Family Practice Physician to join the team at Box Butte General Hospital!
OB experience preferred but not required. This opportunity provides a well-rounded team of dynamic practice partners specializing in primary care, and surgical services. Supervise Physician assistants, Nurse practitioner or mid-level practitioner.
Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience: Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of residency training program.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability: Good organizational and staff coordination skills
Willingness to work flexible hours
Ability to work independently and solve problems creatively with initiative
Affinity for working with a culturally and economically diverse patient population
Licensure, Certification or Other Requirements: BLS, PALS, and ACLS certification
Upon 3 months of hire. Advanced Trauma Life Support for Emergency Department.
License to practice medicine in State of Nebraska
Board certification or clear path to board certification in family practice, or internal medicine
