In support of our rapid nationwide growth, we are currently building out a new urgent care facility in Pleasanton, California. We are seeking a well-trained a physician assistant with urgent care experience to be part of our founding team. This is a ground-floor opportunity that can be converted to full-time if desire as the center grows.

- Compensation is between $76 and $85 per hour, dependent on previous work experience and training

Responsibilities
- You’ll see walk-in patients for a variety of needs
- Must be able to see and treat all ages
- Take detailed history and perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
- Order x-rays and labs to assist in evaluating and diagnosing illnesses and injuries
- Interpret x-rays, lab results, and EKGs
- Perform urgent care procedures including but not limited to laceration repairs, suture/staple removal, incision & drainage, foreign body removal, large joint aspirations, nail removal, joint reductions and splinting
- Consult supervising physician based on the scope of practice and patient needs
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician as needed
- Triage and manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times
- Review and manage daily tasks, including patient callbacks regarding lab results
- Provide oversight and lead day-to-day operations for your team of medical assistants and support staff
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree and certification, must be Board Certified (NP or PA)
- Active California license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and be certified by the appropriate board, in good standing
- Active and unrestricted DEA License
- ACLS/BLS Certifications
- Ability to consult and treat patients of all ages in a confidential and impartial manner
- Experience in ER, urgent care or similar setting (minimum 1 year)
- Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages)
- Exceptional listening, interpersonal, and empathy skills
Clinic hours will be Mon-Fri 8am - 8pm, and Sat-Sun 8am - 5pm. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
