Physician - Family Practice examines and treats members of family, regardless of age or sex. Ensures proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Being a Physician - Family Practice prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary. Additionally, Physician - Family Practice requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Family Practice's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. As Family Practice Physician, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to serve primarily low-income uninsured or underinsured residents of Chicago's medically underserved communities. Your ability to assist our patients/clients with coordinating their medical and mental needs will further solidify our position as one of the largest providers of community-based primary care in the city.
Key Responsibilities:
Education: Graduate of an Accredited Medical School, Board certification, Board eligible.
Required Licensure and/or Certification: Current Illinois State License, Controlled Substance License & DEA.
Minimum Experience: Licensed as a Physician in the State of Illinois. Completed an Accredited Post-Graduate Training Program in Internal Medicine. Board Certified or Eligible in Family Practice.
