ASC Billing Specialist

Our organization is currently looking for a career minded individual who can lead the billing and collections process in one of our surgery centers. The position is centrally located, and is based in our main Ocala office.

As the right candidate, you will have the opportunity to leverage your personal skills to interact with patients and teammates while utilizing your experience in all aspects of ambulatory surgical center billing and coding. We need a self-starter experienced in the application of sound business practices as they relate to billing and collections.

In order to be qualified for this role we will require:

• Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable Medical Insurance / Healthcare Billing and collections experience.
• Thorough understanding of billing, collections, and payment posting, electronic remittance and EOBs.
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes, HCFA 1500 and UB04 claim forms, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits, and appeal processes.
• Experience working with health information technology (practice management and billing software).

Preferred: Associates degree or higher in business administration or related field or coding certification from a recognized professional organization (e.g. AAPC). Experience may be substituted for the formal education.

Job Type: Full-time
