Scope of Responsibilities: Perform accounting functions with accuracy including handling cash, reconciling bank statements, dealing with confidential information in a professional manner, calculating and recording capital assets and depreciation, and running revenue tests and reconciliations. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, perform end of month accounting functions, and any other tasks relating to business office responsibilities, such as billing and payroll.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries necessary to maintain proper accounting records.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis.
• Generate accurate financial statements in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in collecting information for audits, cost reports, etc.
• Assist other business office employees as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor. Report problems, concerns, and progress to supervisor as necessary.

Qualifications: A clear understanding of general ledgers and accounting functions. A minimum of associate degree required. Must have excellent technical skills and be able to efficiently use all Microsoft Office products (excel, word, outlook, etc.), specialized accounting software, and multiple internet programs.
