Fast-paced manufacturer is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team. Daily you will report to the HR Manager and work within a team of HR professionals. Responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting, interviewing and hiring hourly workforce
- Supporting production staff with HR questions and concerns
- Assisting with new hire orientation and training
- Conducting incident investigations
- Facilitating employee engagement activities and events
- Assisting the production team with coaching, leading and mentoring staff
- Completing benefits paperwork and answering benefits questions
- Documenting leave administration, including FMLA
- Assisting with hourly disciplinary actions
- Overseeing the internal job posting process
- Performing backup functions for payroll and time and attendance
- Other tasks as directed by management
Individuals should be able to work on multiple tasks at a time, be able to build rapport on the manufacturing floor and communicate at all levels of the plant. Excellent attendance is critical in this position. Candidates should feel comfortable working in fast-paced environments. This is a direct-hire position that needs filled immediately.HOURS for the position: Daily start times are on site between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. Monday-Friday with very minimal weekend work.
REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing HR Generalist:- A Bachelor's degree is highly preferred
- A minimum of two years of similar HR experience, ideally in manufacturing and/or distribution
- Experience working in an HR Generalist role with exposure to multiple facets of HR, including benefits, FMLA, recruitment, employment law, etc.
- Experience recruiting and hiring hourly and/or salary staff
- Microsoft Office, including strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Skills preferred, but not required:- Automotive supplier experience
- Strong social media recruitment skills
- HRIS experience
