Title : HR Generalist- Employee Relations Specialist

Location : Athens, TX. 100% onsite

Duration : 6 months with possible extension

Schedule : Mandatory hours 2pm to 10 : 30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.

May choose either 7 : 30am - 4pm or 8am 4 : 30pm Tuesday & Thursday and Friday

No travel required

Interviews : Face to face interviews, possible 2nd round

Position Summary :

• Client has a meaningful opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist in Athens, TX.
• In this opportunity you will be in a fresh and energized culture supporting non-union employees at our Distribution Center in Athens, TX.
• The HR Generalist works in partnership with the local HRBP and management team on supporting the HR processes including employee relations, attendance, engagement, and recruiting.
• Supporting the employee experience is a critical piece of the role.

Responsibilities :

• Provide employee relations support to leadership team and answer HR related questions .
• Ensure consistency in disciplinary action process and documentation .
• Immediately escalate and conduct all employee relations investigations .
• Drive engagement and incentive programs to improve overall employee experience .
• Other Generalist duties as assigned by HR Business Partner.

Must Have :

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Human Resources or related field.)
• At least 5-10 years of HR Specific experience in Employee Relations / investigations.
• Engagement, Attendance, and Assisting Leadership Team with Disciplinary Action Process.
• Supply-chain, manufacturing, or distribution / warehouse experience

• Strong leadership skills : collaboration, communication, influence, drive for results, effective planning / prioritization, project management
• Self-driven / motivated individual
• Strong verbal / presentation and written communications skills working in warehouse setting.
• Passion for employee relations and engagement
