Ensuring Chart’s Success

Chart's Material Generalist plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Moving completed inventory in the yard on to trucks Includes climbing ladders to attach straddle crane hooks Manipulating tank supports for external storage
• Moving production materials from the yard into the building
• Pulling orders from warehouse area
• Support shipping and receiving functions
• Performing general clerical functions
• Delivers Products to workstations
• Performs cycle counting and reconciliation on a daily basis
• Performs general shop maintenance and clean up
• Performs all tasks to ISO 9001 standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Your Education Should Be

High School diploma or GED

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require

• Will involve exposure to outside temperature extremes
• Frequent climbing and working at elevated positions
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
• Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material

Your Professional Experience Should Be

• Intermediate computer skills including data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office products
• Excellent work and attendance records
• Current CDL License preferred, or ability to acquire one
• Forklift (indoor and yard) and / or Straddle Crane experience preferred
• Customer service skills
• Readily acts on challenges and with a can do attitude
• Encourages the open expression of diverse ideas and opinions
• Attentively listens to others
• Knows strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and limits
• Admits mistakes and gains insights from experiences
• Willingness to ask questions to gain a better understanding
