Physician - Hospitalist jobs in Augusta, GA
Physician - Hospitalist examines, diagnoses, and treats hospitalized patients. Manages patients through the continuum of hospital care, seeing patients in the ER and following them into the critical care unit and organizing post-acute care. Being a Physician - Hospitalist orders treatments, tests, and consults with specialty physicians and primary care physician where appropriate. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Hospitalist requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Hospitalist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Practice Details
- Full-time daytime hospitalist to cover shifts at two top-notch facilities
- Level 1 trauma center with average census of 18-20 patients per day
- 6-10 Daytime physicians, fully staffed and experienced ACPs, stand alone admitter
- Closed ICU with dedicated intensivists on staff
- 7 days on/7 days off, 7am - 7pm shift

Candidate Parameters
- FM and IM candidates welcome to apply
- BC/BE with boards obtained within a year of residency
- Minimum one year of hospitalist experience.
- MD/DO
- ACLS required
