Physician - Hospitalist jobs in Kansas City, MO
Physician - Hospitalist examines, diagnoses, and treats hospitalized patients. Manages patients through the continuum of hospital care, seeing patients in the ER and following them into the critical care unit and organizing post-acute care. Being a Physician - Hospitalist orders treatments, tests, and consults with specialty physicians and primary care physician where appropriate. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Hospitalist requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Hospitalist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The physician will take admissions from the ED, direct admissions from outside providers and consults from specialists. This is a day-time only position. Nights are covered by nocturnists. NPs assist with admissions and discharges, allowing you time to round. Large team dedicated to discharges assists with placement. Flexible call schedule limits admission times and gets you home early on most days. Friendly staff and great support from administration. This is a hospital employed job. The job will require the candidate to obtain a Missouri medical license.Job Requirements
- 3-5 years' work experience
- Graduate of a University/Program with a doctorate Degree of Medicine or Osteopathic
- Current Medical License - MD or DO
- Unrestricted Current DEA Registration
- Current Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance Certificate of Registration
