Physician - Maternal/Fetal Medicine specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of high risk or complicated pregnancies. Examines patients to ensure proper care and provides consultation for complications associated with the pregnancy. Being a Physician - Maternal/Fetal Medicine may assist in maternal transport or prenatal diagnosis through the use of ultrasounds and/or genetic counseling. Delivers babies, determining the method most appropriate to ensure health and safety of both infant and mother. Additionally, Physician - Maternal/Fetal Medicine provides pre- and postnatal care as needed. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Maternal/Fetal Medicine's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. **Primary Care Opening in Vermont**
-Located in Windsor, VT.
-Full-time, Day shift.
Clinical duties may be split between the two primary care sites depending upon the candidate and patient need. The incoming physician will primarily have a practice focusing on adult medicine, with a heavy concentration of Medicare patients. Training should be in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (recognizing the pediatrics component will be small). The physician will work 36 clinical hours per week and provide outpatient call coverage. The call coverage obligation is between one week night every other week and 1:6 -1:8 weekends. The total patient panel for the practice is approximately 15,000 patients with room and demand to grow. The current patient volume is 15 per day however the support system is in place for a physician to see more than the average.
**Requirements**
-Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
-Open to foreign born and educated candidates with US Residency or eligibility and solid communication
skills.
