Physician - Nephrology examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the kidneys. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Nephrology recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Nephrology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Nephrology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating multiple types of patients and/or visits.
1. Primary role requires contacting patient upon hospital discharge within 48 hours to schedule follow-up care at assigned dialysis clinic.
2. Additional duties include assisting with dialysis placements.
3. Position will be cross-trained to help coordinate scheduling new patient visits.
4. Must have a current Medical Assistant Certification.
5. Other duties as assigned.
6. Remote position. Must live in the surrounding area.
