    Location:100 HOSPITAL DR, Hendersonville, 28792

    The role you’ll contribute: Prepare and administer prescribed radiopharmaceuticals to patients and performs diagnostic imaging procedures. Order therapeutic dose of radioactive materials and performs thyroid uptakes. Maintain regulatory requirement for policies, procedures and standards. Implements policies and procedures in Diagnostic Imaging to ensure compliance with, but not limited to The Joint Commission, OSHA, NC State and all other regulatory entities and the policies of AdventHealth Hendersonville.

    • Accountable for staff competencies, credentialing and continuing education in accordance to Hospital Policy and The Joint Commission standards.
    • Report, recommend and implement metrics, trending and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare and administer prescribed radiopharmaceuticals to patients and performs diagnostic imaging procedures.
    • Order therapeutic dose of radioactive materials and performs thyroid uptakes.
    • Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
    • Selects appropriate equipment / radiopharmaceuticals to use for procedure.
    • Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
    • Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure- makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
    • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
    • Takes call according to monthly schedule after regular department hours

    Qualifications


    The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

    • Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
    • Registered in Nuclear Medicine through ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB)
    • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
