Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Family Medicine Physician needed to join this integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields. More than 400 full-time salaried physicians and advanced practice clinicians who focus on patient centered care.
Norwich, New York is located halfway between Syracuse and Binghamton. Peaceful neighborhoods, a terrific educational system, and city services in a village setting make Norwich an idyllic place to live, work, raise a family, and enjoy one's senior years. The surrounding areas have an abundance of lakes, streams and mountains that form the Catskill Mountain Range and the Adirondack State Park.
Job Summary:
Join an established group of 2 full time physicians, 4 advanced care clinicians
Responsibilities:
Traditional outpatient practice, Monday Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
No OB
School based health coverage for pediatric patients
A first call system is in place with a nurse practitioner/physician assistant on call for your patients.
EMR-EPIC
Loan Repayment may be available through Federal and State Loan Repayment Programs
