Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. - Replace positions vacated as long-term physicians step into administrative roles.
- Join a cohesive group of physicians who are all emergency medicine residency trained and board certified and have an average tenure of 14 years.
- Work closely with a talented group of advanced practice providers and staff.
- This is an employed position with a progressive and financially secure health system.
Practice Details:
- 32 room department recently renovated and optimized
- All day and evening shifts; no overnights
- Full time is 15 10-hour shifts per month
- Department has 50 hours of physician coverage and 30 hours of APP coverage per day
- Adult and pediatric hospitalists do their own admissions
- Not a trauma facility; no heads, no open hearts
