Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Job Responsibilities of an Occupational Therapist:

Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to enhance patients' functional independence, including activities of daily living and mobility
Utilize therapeutic interventions and adaptive equipment to support the patient in achieving their rehabilitation goals
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
Provide education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and strategies for improving daily life skills
Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations while delivering high-quality, patient-centered therapy services.
