Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Occupational Medicine's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

What We Provide:
- 4 or 5-day work week
- No hospital rotations
- Minimal on-call schedule
- Generous administrative time (up to 8 hours weekly)
- Eligible for up to $25,000 in tax-free loan repayment per year for up to 8 years through NHSC.
- Eligible for up to $300,000 in loan repayment through MSLRP.

Certificate/License Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine
- Completion of a primary care residency either in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- State of Michigan Medical License
- State of Michigan Controlled Substance License
- Federal DEA License
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine
