Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Occupational Medicine's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.   • Providence St. Peter Hospital is seeking an experienced Occupational Medicine physician to join a dedicated group full-time in Lacey, Washington. You will be part of a clinic service line that provides injured worker care covered by WA L&I, self-insured and worker compensation insurers, DOT physicals, Pre-employment physicals, Drug screens and Occupational Health client services. Along with these services, you can also expect to see cases including musculoskeletal injuries, acute injury care, chemical/BBP exposures, traumatic injury, and more. Ideal candidates will have a few years of Occupational Medicine experience, have a strong affinity to care coordination, and are team players eager to contribute to the clinic's growth and development.     • Clinic open weekdays with 4/10 schedule; 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    • No call and no weekends
    • Must be comfortable with both injury care, occupational exams including DOTS, and drug testing
    • Must be willing/able to become a certified DOT examiner
    • Must be willing/able to become a DOT Medical Review Officer
    • Must have at least 1 to 2 years of Occupational Medicine experience
    • Possible Medical Directorship for the right candidate
    • Compensation is between $253,746 and $330,447 per year
    • The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them
