Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Occupational Medicine's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Industry Health Solutions as provides a broad scope of services including pre-employment exams, injury prevention, wellness programs, medical intervention, testing surveillance programs, and case management.

    We are currently looking for per diem Physician Assistants to work in a variety of our occupational settings in the Souderton – Hatfield area.

    A candidate will be expected to hold a Physician Assistant license in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania, have good orthopedic skills, preferably at least two years’ experience, excellent and dynamic people skills, compassion for people, high motivation level, good communication skills, professional confidence, and an independent thinker.

    Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Conducting triage procedures for initial evaluations for musculoskeletal disorders and injuries such as sprains, strains, lacerations, and contusions
    • Safety surveillance procedures such as pulmonary function testing, hearing testing, eye exams, UDS’s and DOT’s
    • Injections
    • Suturing
    • Medical screening
    • Treatment planning
    • Completing clinical notes
