Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. **About the Hospital:**
Hospital is a 52-bed, acute care facility nestled in the rolling hills of northeastern Kentucky, close to the Ohio River. Established in 1962, the original hospital prospered through the years, and a beautiful new facility was opened in 2008 to accommodate its growth and expansion.
The new hospital features many private rooms, expanded operating rooms, a larger Emergency Department, new state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment and many other enhancements. The new hospital campus boasts approximately 100,000 sq. ft., which enables its more than 260 staff members to provide quality care to residents of Fleming and surrounding counties.
