Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Collaborate with Emergency Medicine Physicians, nursing
staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and timely
patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical
history, physical examination, and appropriate diagnostic tests, to determine
accurate diagnoses.
Efficiently manage a patient workload, striving to maintain
a patient-to-provider ratio of 2 patients per hour.
Document patient encounters, medical histories, assessments,
and treatment plans accurately and comprehensively in the Epic Electronic
Medical Record (EMR) system.
Qualifications:
Current valid licensure as a Physician Assistant in the
state of New York.
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Certification from the National Commission on Certification
of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Previous experience in Emergency Medicine or a fast-paced
clinical setting is preferred.
Proficiency in utilizing Epic EMR system for documentation
and order entry.
