Physician - Ophthalmology jobs in Tacoma, WA
Physician - Ophthalmology examines patients' eyes to ensure eye health, to treat injuries and to identify eye irregularities. Prescribes glasses, contacts or surgery to correct vision. Being a Physician - Ophthalmology requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. Additionally, Physician - Ophthalmology may report to a medical director. Duties and Responsibilities : A mix of medical and surgical work and will treat a range of conditions from common issues such as cataracts, glaucoma or squints through to infectious eye disease and chronic diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (deterioration of the macula, the central area of the retina)
