PAIN MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Physician Pain Care is an independently owned interventional pain management practice located in Woodstock with satellite offices in Jasper and Acworth. PPC provides personalized care to patients suffering from chronic pain conditions.
The medical assistant will be responsible for patient engagement throughout the appointment, including intake, documentation, distilling symptoms into a summary for the doctor, patient education, and assisting with minor procedures.
Successful candidates will draw on (2-3) years of medical experience, including at least (1) year in an EMR setting. This position requires a thorough assessment of patient’s needs and effectively communicating those needs to the lead physician and staff.
Must have sharp attention to detail, advanced problem-solving skills, informed intuition, and the ability to quickly prioritize information and tasks.
Responsibilities:
· Patient engagement (intake, vitals, history, HPI, etc).
· Scribing for providers with emphasis on accurate and detailed documentation
· Assisting with minor procedures
· Preauthorization’s
· Returning patient messages
· Refill requests
· Specimen collection
· Patient education
Qualifications:
· 2-3 years of experience as a medical assistant
· 1-year EMR experience
· BLS certification preferred
· Excellent customer service skills
· Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred
Hours:
· Monday – Thursday - 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday- 7:45 AM- 12:00 PM
