Job Overview:
We are currently seeking California based Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of students and provide speech therapy services in a school-based setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with communication disorders.
Positions include per diem (which is loved by those who are growing their own practice on the side), part-time and full-time opportunities in California! On-site and remote positions may be available. We are also always seeking CF and SLPA Supervisors! Duties:
- Conduct student assessments to determine speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide speech therapy services to students in various settings, including charter schools, non-public schools and districts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student care
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in speech therapy
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (for SLPs)
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders (for SLPAs)
- Valid CA state license or certification as an SLP or SLPA
- 1 year experience working with students in a school-based setting
- Knowledge of terminology and physiology related to speech and language disorders
- Strong client care skills and ability to provide compassionate care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
- Speech therapy: Proficiency in providing evidence-based speech therapy interventions
- Student assessment: Skill in conducting comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities
- Pediatrics: Experience working with pediatric patients with communication disorders
