Job Summary:

• AP/CP certification or board eligibility
• At least three (3) years of hospital-based experience is preferred
• Active Florida Medical License and/or FCVS is a plus
• Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP
• The successful candidate must work cooperatively within diverse environments, have excellent interpersonal skills, and successfully establish and maintain positive relationships with hospital medical staff, technical staff and referring physicians
• Surgical volumes – approximately 3,500 per year
• Cytology – 600 per year
• Procedures (frozen sections and rapid on site assessments) – less than 7 per week
• Peripheral smears – approximately 4 per day
• Blood bank reviews – less than 1 per week
• Other Pertinent Information: Bayonet Point has approximately 290 beds with a Level II trauma center and a variety of anatomic pathology specimens including GI, head/neck, GU and thoracic.
