Urgent opening for Physician Assistant (Pathology)- Anatomic / Surgical for Indio, CA location.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians
- Provide health coaching and education to patients on disease prevention and management
- Perform triage duties to determine the urgency of patient needs and facilitate appropriate medical interventions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Requirements:
- Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of CA location
Shifts/Schedule Expectations: Ideally 7 – 14 days/month

• PPD/Census: 10 – 15 cases/day
• Call Schedule/Responsibilities: 24 – hr. call, no admissions, no rounding, beeper, 30 min call response for STEMI.

Procedures Required/Preferred: Preferred: Endoscopic vein harvesting proficiency is a must. Surgical Path, GI Path, GU path, Neuropathology, Dermatology, Hematopathology (bone marrow, lymph nodes, Ped tumor, Cytology – GYN, Non-GYN, Performance of FNAs, Autopsy – Non-forensic, Forensic, Grossing or cutting of frozen, Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Serology, Blood Bank.
