Physician - Pathology examines diseases using fluids, body tissue, secretions, etc. to ascertain cause, nature, and extent of disease and to determine effectiveness of treatment. May perform autopsy to ascertain exact cause of death, and source or extent of disease and effects of treatment. Being a Physician - Pathology requires an advanced degree. Requires State License to Practice Medicine. Additionally, Physician - Pathology typically reports to a medical director. Physician - Pathology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.   • Job Description of Speech Language Pathology Assistant

    1. Assist in evaluating/screening students referred for possible speech therapy services

    2. Attend staffings and/or IEPs for students referred as needed

    3. Assist in developing appropriate goals and objectives for students

    4. Plan and conduct activities to achieve objectives with frequency of service determined by the IEP team.  

    5. Collaborate with teachers to implement classroom activities 

    6. Supervise and evaluate speech therapy para educators.

    7. Provide appropriate training for speech therapy paraeducators.  

    8. Attend school/student improvement teams as a consultant when requested.  

    9. Complete and submit all required special education forms/paperwork in a timely manner and as required by the special education administration, including progress reports and daily Medicaid documentation  

    10. Monitor and re-evaluate student needs as necessary.

    11. Attend appropriate professional development and convention activities.  Report results of meetings to appropriate groups or for submission of Professional Development points toward the IPDP. 

    12. Ensure students with speech therapy needs receive the appropriate services, including performing additional duties necessary that might not be listed above.
