Conducts physical exams, which may include an X-ray, electrocardiogram, Doppler echocardiography, exercise testing, or blood tests. Being a Physician - Pediatric Cardiology detects abnormalities, plans treatment, and refers critical patients to a cardiac surgeon. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Pediatric Cardiology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director.
