Conducts physical exams, which may include an X-ray, electrocardiogram, Doppler echocardiography, exercise testing, or blood tests. Being a Physician - Pediatric Cardiology detects abnormalities, plans treatment, and refers critical patients to a cardiac surgeon. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Pediatric Cardiology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Under the supervision of the registered nurse, the Cardiology Assistant performs clerical duties of the unit and administers routine services in the caring for patients including the transport of patients, cleaning and any other duties appropriate.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Previous cleaning/housekeeping experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills preferred. Must be able to read, write legible, speak and comprehend English.
