Being a Physician - Pediatric Cardiology detects abnormalities, plans treatment, and refers critical patients to a cardiac surgeon. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Pediatric Cardiology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. We are a busy cardiology office located near Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks. We provide patient care, diagnostic imaging services, and Nuclear Imaging studies. I am looking for an experienced medical assistant with Cardiology experience. The perfect candidate will need to be a strong multi tasker with an impeccable work ethic that is able to work well under pressure and has strong communication skills.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 3 to 6 months.
To qualify for this position you must have:
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Full understanding of HIPAA
- Medical Terminology
- 1 year of experience working in a medical office (Cardiology preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Administrative experience
- Professional demeanor even in the face of stressful situations
- Strong multitasking skills
- Strong team player

Duties include but are not limited to:
Verify patient information, recording patient medical history, take vitals (blood pressure, weight, oxygen %), perform EKG’s, prior authorizations for medications as needed, apply holter monitors, send out communications to doctors offices and pharmacies as needed, same day follow up on all patient communications, as well as sending prescriptions to pharmacies as requested/ordered, stocking exam rooms, answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting physicians with procedures as needed.
