    The Pediatric Physician - The Pediatrician works as part of the medical provider team performing a variety of direct primary care services to patients.  The Pediatrician also provides general supervision to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as appropriate.  In addition, unless specifically exempted by the Chief Medical Officer, the Physician - Pediatrician shall be qualified to serve on the active medical staff of a local hospital, providing inpatient care services and/or rounding on newborns.

    This position is full-time (40 hours per week) and will be primarily located at our satellite clinic in Bellevue. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, generally between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

    To ensure the safety of our patients, employees, and communities, OneWorld Community Health Centers is requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective November 15th, 2021. Exemptions may be granted for religious or medical accommodations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    - Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy required.

    - Completion of an approved residency program in Pediatric medicine required.

    - Board certification in Pediatrics is required.   For recent graduates, board eligibility is acceptable as long as certification is obtained within five years of residency completion.

    - License to practice as a Physician in the state of Nebraska required.  (Or license eligible.)

    - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

    - Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products required; experience with an Electronic Health Record preferred.

    - Proficiency in English required.

    - Proficiency in Spanish either preferred or required, depending on clinic location.  If required, must be able to speak enough Spanish to examine Spanish-speaking patients and converse on a basic level.

    - Demonstrated ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to culturally diverse patients as well as other OWCHC providers and staff members.

    - Ability and willingness to serve on the active medical staff of a hospital used by OneWorld Community Health Centers, which includes other requirements as part of the privileging process.

    - Ability to be credentialed and approved by OneWorld Community Health Centers’ Board of Directors.
