To qualify, applicants must be fellowship-trained anesthesiologists or pediatric anesthesiologists with additional training in chronic pain (pediatric and/or adult pain); board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology and/or pediatric anesthesiology, and pain medicine is required. Additional training in Complementary & Alternative Medicine including integrative medicine, clinical hypnosis or acupuncture would be welcome. Successful candidates' clinical focus will include outpatient pain, inpatient pain, and/or integrative medicine clinic. Other clinical responsibilities may include pediatric anesthesiology in the operating rooms at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. In-house weekend coverage and night call coverage are included as part of clinical responsibilities.

Job Description:

The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University is seeking new pediatric pain faculty members at the rank of Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator (CE) Line, who will join our well established, interdisciplinary pediatric pain management team. The Pediatric Pain team oversees an active acute pain inpatient program, outpatient pain clinics in the Bay Area, interventional pediatric pain management, and an outpatient pain rehabilitation program.
