Practice Setting; Inpatient
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality pediatric care to hospitalized patients in
accordance with established medical practices and guidelines.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions,
and create and implement appropriate treatment plans.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare
professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure
comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to
treatment plans based on patient responses.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide on-call coverage as
scheduled.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)
using MEDHOST system.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers,
explaining medical conditions, treatment options, and plans in a compassionate
and understandable manner.
Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and
educational activities as required.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of
Ohio.
Board status: Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics.
Proven experience in pediatric care, preferably in a hospitalist
or inpatient setting.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems,
preferably MEDHOST.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
